Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer System for the Atari 2600 by Atari
Atari CX2600
The Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer System is the very first system made by Atari. Easily Identifiable by it's weight, the rounded corners on the bottom front of the casing and thick borders around the top if viewed from above are additional details to look for. Originally it came with a grey power supply and spring loaded aka "First Year" joysticks. Due to the higher quality off-the-shelf components used in these models, they frequently have superior color to the 4 switch and lesser 6 switch models. These were all made in Sunnyvale, CA, but the lighter weight later model six switchers were also made there so this is not a positive identifier. Your serial number is important, and the lower the better. The lower model serial six switchers may have earlier revisions of the Atari board with or without channel changers to select channel 3 or 4.
Base systems include Power Supply and Coax Adapter. All items come with the AtariGuide standard 30 day guarantee - you're happy or the item will be repaired or replaced, or your money refunded, upon return.
