    1983 Atari CX2694

Another popular arcade game that transitioned to the VCS, this one is just not the same without the steering wheel and gas pedal. But it's basically the same game and is significantly better than the first 2600 first-person driving game, Night Driver. Drive around the track in the quickest time, avoiding other cars. If you collide with a car in this game, your car will explode, but you'll only lose time. The first time around the track qualifies you for a position in the big race. You are given a time limit for each lap in the race, and you can continue racing until the timer runs out. Includes 2-speed shifting and only one track.
