    1988 Absolute AK-045

Pete Rose Baseball is unique in the realm of Atari baseball games, in that instead of looking at a constant overhead view of the field, you will find the action in one of six different screens. The game begins with the pitch, viewed from just behind the pitcher, in pretty detailed graphics. When the ball is hit, the "camera" zooms to the part of the field where the ball travels, as the local defensive players try to make the play. Meanwhile, the offensive coach can tell which base runners to start running. Pete Rose Baseball brought to baseball games a sense of realism that was seriously lacking in the Atari years.
